Minisymposium (MS) proposal has been accepted for WCCM XV-APCOM 2022 (July 31st – August 5th, 2022, https://www.wccm2022.org/).
MS is “Computational Biomechanics and Biomimetics of Flapping Flight” organized by D. Ishihara, H. Liu, and S. Yoshimura.
Mr. Shankar Vinay, PhD course student, was awarded T. Banaji Indian Students Scholarship. This scholarship is available for a few Indian international students all over Japan, and is honorable.
Mr. Minato Onishi, PhD course student, is selected as a JSPS Research Fellowship for Young Scientists of FY2021-2023.
JSPS provides Research Fellowship for Young Scientists program for young researchers who have an opportunity to focus on a freely chosen research topic based on their own innovative ideas. The program is intended to foster and secure excellent researchers.
This time, Mr. Minato Onishi (host researcher: Daisuke Ishihara, Associate Professor) has been awarded a Research Fellowship for Young Scientists. The recruitment phase in this program has a very narrow selection process with selection ration 20% .
Mr. Minato Onishi, PhD course student, awarded as Hasegawa Foundation Scholarship.
Mr. Rashmikant, PhD course student, awarded as Kanazawa Kinen Ikuei Zaidan Scholarship.
Associate Prof. D. Ishihara recieved The JACM (Japan Association for Computational Mechanics) Fellows Award in the annual meeting of JACM in Asian Pacific Congress on Computational Mechanics (APCOM 2019), Taipei.
Mr. Minato Onishi recieved the student presentation award for his oral presentation (M. Onishi, D. Ishihara, T. Horie, A partition model for the computer simulation of the maneuver in insect flapping flight）in the 37th JSST Annual Conference International Conference on Simulation Technology (JSST2018) (2018/9/18-20).
Dr. Prakasha Chigahalli Ramegowda is selected as a JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship for Research in Japan (Standard) under the 2nd recruitment of FY2019-2020.
JSPS provides Postdoctoral Fellowship programs for overseas researchers who have an excellent record of research achivements to conduct collaborative research under the guidance of Japanese researchers (Host researcher) in Japan. The program is intended to help advance the overseas researcher’s research activities while promoting science and internationalization in Japan.
This time, Dr. Prakasha Chigahalli Ramegowda (host researcher: Daisuke Ishihara, Associate Professor) has been awarded a Postdoctoral research fellowship (Standard program). The recruitment phase of the hiring foreign researchers has a very narrow selection process with selection ration 9.4% (1228 applications were received, among which 115 fellowship were awarded).
Mr. Prakasha Chigahalli Ramegowda recieved the student presentation award for his oral presentation (P.C. Ramegowda, D. Ishihara, T. Niho, T. Horie, A Novel Coupled Algorithm for Shell Structure-Electric Field Interaction Analysis in MEMS Piezoelectric Actuator）in the 35th JSST Annual Conference International Conference on Simulation Technology (JSST2016) (2016/10/27-29).
